One of the greatest secrets to being happy is to be thankful. Being thankful makes you happier, improves health and reduces stress.
We often take so much for granted. I challenge you to start a Gratitude Journal – write down one thing each day that you are grateful for.
Find joy in the small things instead of holding out for the momentous occasions. Think of all the wonderful things in your life.
No amount of regret will change the past, no amount of worrying will change the future but being thankful WILL change the present.
Notice and appreciate the little things in life because one day you will realise they were the big things. Continually be aware of all that you are blessed with. Be mindful of the present. Enjoy the now. When you are grateful, happiness and contentment will flow in your life.
As teachers, we are role models in teaching children the art of gratitude.
